RARE 18TH CENTURY NEOCLASSICAL FRENCH PRINT

An engraving and aquatint etching on laid paper titled 'Constance de Coriolan' [Constancy of Coriolanus] by Jean François Janinet (French, 1752–1814) after Jean Guillaume Moitte (French, Paris 1746–1810).  Late 18th century, with a frieze of classical figures in a border of sunflowers, in a modern frame, inscribed in the bottom right corner 'Janinet sculp. 1789'.  470 mm. x 750 mm.  Condition: VERY GOOD.  Minor marginal staining, otherwise excellent.  Slight wear to frame.
