The special edition versions as released in 2000 in full  screen THX digitally mastered with Hi-Fi Stereo Dolby Surround sound.

These are the first widescreen THX versions of the original special edition releases on video with "NEW SCENES NEW SOUNDS NEW SPECIAL EFFECTS Plus behind the scenes footage on the making of the Special Edition including an interview with George Lucas". 

This looks very nice as it's from my own 00's video collection. The tapes all look brand new!! The tapes are all (c) 1977/1980/1983, 1997 & 2000 Lucasfilm Ltd.
