The infrared touch (or IR touchscreen) simply explained
The infrared touch (IR touchscreen) works similarly to a “light barrier”. This is located just above the display surface. It is the only touch screen that does not require direct contact with the display. The advantage is: The IR Touch can be secured with a protective screen without any problems, without reducing the performance of the touch screen (e.g. with bulletproof glass).
