It is a two volume matched set in original decorative slip cover box: Volume I in green and Volume II in orange linen weave cloth over board with deep gilt embossed title and Irish mask on the fronts of each volume, also titles on the spine, and the mask image is repeated in gold on the front of the off white heavy card box.. Each volume 11 by 7 3/8”, together in the box: approx 2 3/4” wide.

There are full color frontispieces in each volume, also many black & white photos, drawings, maps, charts and statistics representing the Irish people in Canada.

The books are graded in Very Fine to Extremely Fine condition, slip cover shows a light bit of wear. NOTE: each volume has a detailed dedication and inscription in pen on the title page. The books were a gift from one Dominican priest to another as he embarked upon his ministry in Germany, and are dated April 25, 1988, (see photo #3).
