This intriguing 13.75" t. vase has a beautiful multicolor glaze, and depicts in the four panels the loving relationship between Psyche (Venus) and Eros (Cupid). The first panel in my assortment is Fall, followed by Winter, Spring, and then Summer.
On the foot, completely underneath, is a very tiny glaze nick (white) in an area that is glazed black... so easily hidden or restored. Also on the foot, there is an approximately 1/2" firing line that does not go through to the inside. Otherwise, no nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs.
Fascinating and decorative piece. For several decades, I have used this beautiful vase as a way to mark the seasons. It looks spectacular with a dozen long-stemmed roses.
