Fa parte di raffigurazioni nelle quali sono presenti caratteristiche di forme naturali, ma al tempo stesso anche qualità di oggetti artificiali, come macchine e dispositivi, secondo una coesistenza di peculiarità antitetiche che rende particolari questo tipo di rappresentazioni.
