* Note: these models have a fused (10A) auxiliary power take off as standard, which is switched on / off with the ignition. The power take off makes fitting accessories relatively straightforward.
Features:
- 1x motorcycle usb socket kit (as picture shown)
- A USB socket (5V x 1.0A and 5V x 2.1A) with a mounting kit for either 22mm handlebars or mirror post / bracket fixing, plus small screws for fascia panel mounting. There is also an in - line plug so the USB socket can be disconnected to make routing or feeding the cable through a bulkhead easier.
- The socket has a sealed on/off switch on the top of the casing.
- On the CRF250L (2017 ON) and CRF300L, the O.E. auxiliary socket is behind the headlight, inside a rubber shroud on the right side of the bike. it's usually blanked off with a dummy plug with small green seals on the rally models this is located on the left side of the bike behind the front fairing, usually taped to the main loom.
- The connecting plug fitted to this assembly will be supplied correctly crimped and sealed (all internal seals fitted), with coloured flying leads (red = positive, black = negative / earth). the leads are rated well above the maximum circuit capacity, which means that additional accesories such as heated grips can be fitted as well as the USB socket - provided the maximum circuit load of 10A is not exceeded.
- Simply remove the factory fitted dummy plug and connect this assembly into the O.E. socket.
- The factory dummy plug can be removed by squeezing a little tang on one side then pulling the connection apart. You will be able to see where the tang is, on the replacement plug.
