Chinese Export Silver Christening Mug - Antique Circa 1900

Description

This fine antique Chinese Export Silver christening mug has a tapering cylindrical form.

The surface of this christening mug has a planished finish and is embellished with embossed bamboo stalk decoration.

The ornamentation to the mug incorporates an applied circular vacant cartouche.

The upper and lower portions of the mug are encircled with plain applied moulded decoration.

This Chinese export mug is fitted with a shaped C scroll handle modelled in the form of a bamboo stalk.

This fine CES mug retains the original gilt interior.
