Eines der ganz alten Produktion der Marke BEN HUR hergestellt von Firma Herkenrath, die auch bekannt sind für Apollo, Job Rasierapparate und Rasierklingen in Solingen. 

Die Breite der Klinge beträgt 4/8" und ist 1/4 hohl nahe wedge, prima Schliff und Verarbeitung, in höchster Solinger Vollendung, aus Normalstahl (Kohlenstoffstahl).

Eingebettet in schönen perlmutt Imitationsschalen und farbiger Einlage, die dieses gute Stück Handwerkskunst aus Solingen komplettieren. Wie erwähnt, sehr minimaler kaum sichtbare Oberflächenkorrosion am Rücken die eh nicht an der Rundung auffällt. 

Wie fast immer bei mir aus schöneren Zeiten, stammt aus den 1960er Jahren. Zum benutzen oder Sammeln- dann wird es garantiert ein Schmuckstück in Ihrer Sammlung Sie jahrelang noch Freude haben werden; gute Pflege vorausgesetzt.

Das Messer ist aus alten Bestand. Es scheint mir unbenutzt zu sein, das honewear dass Sie event. sehen ist üblich bei diesen derben Messern, da mehr und länger Druck ausgeübt wird beim abziehen auf dem Stein. Being offered is a nice and cute straight Razor MADE IN GERMANY of the famous BEN HUR brand, also known for premium DE shavers and blades and last but not least for the Apollo brand, produced once at the Apollo-Herkenrath works.

Please note, this is solid blade razor called French type of width 4/8" (15 mm). Its 1/4 hollow ground (near to wedge) and embedded in cracked ice scales with colored inlay.

Forged from best grade carbon-steel available at that time in Solingen, out of the 1960s. So please always dry carefully after use. The razor seems to me not used, as mentioned it has just has tiny pitting spots on the spin mentioned only for fairness, they are hardly visible on the curved and shiny surface. The honewear  which you may see on the pics, is not honewear, but normal in production process for such solid blades when exerting more and longer pressure and to sharpen on the stone than with ordinary full hollow ground blades.

Blade closes perfectly centered and in firm manner.
