Following extensive trials and development into the continuing aim of improving the efficiency of Diamond abrasives, it is recommended that the Trend lapping fluid should be used to improve maintenance, durability & overall performance.

Reduces the threat of rusting & clogging. Originally designed in the engineering industry purely for use on diamond abrasive products.

Other 'oils' & lubricants are too thick, and will cause 'skating' over the diamond surface.

Trend lapping fluid is petroleum based so, if by mistake the fluid is left on the stone, within fifteen minutes it will evaporate.

Monocrystalline diamond (Element 6 Diamond) is a single structure, that does not break down with use. It has a strong & exceptional life span. Wheras Polycrystalline diamond, is a fragmented compound that breaks and wears away rapidly.

Monocrystalline diamond has the following properties:

Fast - Hardest material, the most efficient sharpening abrasive.
Easy - Light pressure produces an edge in seconds.
Clean - Use with Trend lapping fluid to prevent rusting or clogging. Oils are too thick.
Versatile - Sharpens all hard materials including tungsten carbide & high speed steel.

Monocrystalline diamonds bonded through an electroless process to a precision ground pre-plated nickel carbon steel (EN43A) base.

Some stones are double-sided, offering two grit sizes in one stone, allowing coarse sharpening and finer finishing.

Continuous diamond surface prevents diamond and nickel lift giving more effective anti-corrosion and prevents 'snagging' on smaller tooling.

FINE - Leaves a razor edge in a few strokes and is ideal for cabinet making, carving & tungsten carbide tipped tooling. The P3, CC & P5 are 600 grit (nominal 25 microns) and the Bench 7Ó & 8Ó stones W8F are 1000 grit (nominal 12 microns).

COARSE - General joinery, high speed steel tooling, re-shaping & rapid removal are 350 grit (nominal 42 microns).

It is impossible to achieve any degree of precision in your work unless your cutting tools are honed to perfection. Double-sided diamond-faced sharpening stones not only help you attain that perfection initially, but ensure that it is restored time after time.

Double-sided diamond whetstones are one of the most efficient methods of honing any cutting edge to a precise keen angle. Using an 'electroless' process, monocrystalline diamonds are bonded onto a nickel plated carbon steel backing plate. This produces a flat stone that can achieve a far greater degree of efficiency compared to conventional honing methods. Available in three sizes, each stone has a coarse surface on one face and fine on the reverse. Coarse grade stones are generally used for initial honing of chisels and plane irons or removing light surface damage from spindle moulding tooling or router cutters.

Fine stones are used to refine the edges of chisels, plane irons and other cutting edge tools, as well as for honing tungsten carbide tipped (TCT), solid carbide (SC) and high speed steel (HSS & HSSE) router cutters.

Diamond sharpening stones will produce lasting performance with normal use and need only to be lubricated with water.

When sharpening router cutters, only hone them on the flat front face of the cutting edge, never on the bevelled face. Remove guide bearings from self-guiding cutters and repeat the same number of strokes on each face (i.e. two flute cutters = two flat faces). When honing chisels and plane irons and other steel cutting tools, always use a honing gauge to ensure that the same bevel angle is repeated and maintained.

Always take care of diamond stones by drying them thoroughly before putting away. Ensure that storage boxes, cases or holders are also dried thoroughly. Regularly clean the surface of the stone with warm soapy water, a plastic scouring pad or the cleaning block provided.

Deliveries

Items showing "FAST & FREE" have an estimated delivery time of 2 working days or less. Delivery times may vary, especially in peak periods please check our handling time at the bottom of the listing.

Our carriers apply a surcharge to certain UK Islands, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Islands, unfortunately we have to pass this charge on to our customers. This does not affect all products and services, those that we can send via Royal Mail are charged at a flat rate. Whilst we do not want to pass on surcharges to our customers we are unable to absorb the full cost of sending to these orders.

When you place an order with us, we like to make sure our delivery charges are plain and simple to understand. It may seem like a heavy read but it will answer all your delivery enquires.

We send our orders from our warehouse via Royal Mail or one of our couriers below, subject to stock availability and security checks. The delivery method used is based on the size, weight and value of the order. The only exception to this are items that are delivered on a palletised service which will have to be booked in with a member of our Buyaparcel team.

Any parcel being delivered by courier will require a signature on arrival. If you are not at home the driver will leave an information card.

You can track the progress of your parcel by the Track My Order link at the top of the page. If your goods have been sent by a trackable service you will be able to track your order stage by stage using the couriers online tracking system.

All small items under approx 1.5-2.0kg will be sent via second class post (Economy delivery).

Delivery is normally within 3-4 days of despatch but please allow up to 28 days for delivery. This service is a partially tracked delivery service.

On the morning of your delivery, an email and a text message (if mobile number provided) will be sent to you with a one hour delivery window. If the date and time is not convenient, you can simply either text back or reply back via the website to choose the next convenient date, leave in a safe place or leave with a neighbour.

If delivery is missed then this will be sent back to your closest depot. Please check the UKMAIL/DHL site for your closet depot.

Customers in delivery Zones 2 and 3 will be subject to a surcharge of £6.50. Details of these zones are below.

The Highlands and Islands of Scotland – postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE.

Zone 3
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly -postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25. Scottish freight will be sent via a 24 hour courier service, however due to the distance travelled it may take 48 hours before delivery is made. Glasgow Edinburgh North Wales Truro Ireland Parcels sent to the areas listed which have been despatched in more than one box, may be split up in transit and could arrive with a day’s difference in the delivery. Please note - items over 1.4m are manually handled through sortation, this can cause the item to take up to 48hrs to be delivered. 





If you goods are being delivered on a pallet, you will need to sign for this. A pallet delivery is sent on a standard 2 day delivery service once this has been booked in by a member of the team. Your order will NOT be delivered until the courier have got in touch with you to arrange a delivery date.

If the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful then there will be a re-delivery charge of £10.00

Our team work extremely hard to get your parcels to your door is the shortest possible time but please note that we recommend you do not book a plumber etc until you have received and checked your goods.
Please note:If a parcel is returned to us due to it being refused, a £10 fee will be deducted from your refund. Delivery addresses cannot be changed once the order is placed except in the case of an error, which we will do our best to change, but orders are often shipped quickly after being processed.

Most of our listings have the option of a collection via one of the 2,500 collection points including Argos stores in Sainsbury’s and CollectPlus collection points. If this option is not available it will be related to the size/weight of the item.

You will be able to do a same day collection from our Lowestoft branch if you order before 2.30pm. After that the product will be ready the next day for collection.

Our store is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm so any orders placed over the weekend will be available for collection on Monday. Weekdays any orders placed up until midnight will be available for collection the following day. This excludes bank holidays.

Please wait for confirmation that your order has been picked and is ready for collection before you travel. You will be required to bring your ebay order confirmation and a form of photo ID on collection.

Unwanted Goods:

We offer a 30 day return policy. Once you inform a member our team, you can then return the parcel within 30 days of receiving the goods. This is under the following conditions:
The item must be unused and in a resalable condition otherwise are not eligible for a refund. Items returned after 30 days or with poor condition packaging will be subject to a deduction of 15% restocking fee. 
Carriage charges for returning unwanted parcels or items ordered in error are at your expense, we cannot be held responsible for this.
Please use a traceable service, otherwise there is a possibility the courier could misdeliver your goods and your parcel will not be relocated. We cannot be responsible for which courier you choose to return any items back with.

Damaged/Incorrect Goods:

If you need to return an item due to an error we have made or because your item is damaged, please contact our team within 7 working days* who will resolve this with you (*this varies per courier). It is highly important that you check your goods as soon as they are received. Please note:

Damaged items delivered by UK Mail must be reported within 3 days of receipt (loss must be reported within 3 days of expected delivery date).
Damaged items delivered with Palletways must be noted when you sign for it and reported to us within 24 hours. It must be signed as either damaged or unchecked for the claim to hold.
Return costs will only be covered if authorised by a member of the Buyaparcel team.
We cannot be held responsible for an arranged collection that fails. If this occurs, you will need to return the parcel of your own accord, no matter the reason for the original collection.
The items must be returned within 30 days of notifying us, along with a copy of your invoice as proof of purchase.

Faulty Goods:

If your item arrives faulty, you must report it to us within 24 hours. The item can then be collected and refunded or replaced. Any items reported as faulty outside of this time frame will need to be dealt with under the warranty. Please contact our team via phone or email who will advise on the warranty procedure, or visit the product in question on our website where the warranty procedure is explained online.
Some faulty products must follow procedure and be sent to the manufacturer for testing. They will diagnose the fault and either repair or replace the unit under the warranty. To find out if yours is one of these products, you can check this against the warranty tab available on each individual product listing.
Once any return is received back we will process it within 7 days

Order Cancellations:

Once you place an order with us, there is only a short time frame we are able to cancel that in – this is even shorter if you have selected a Next Day delivery option. Please contact us immediately by and our team will do their best to arrange this for you. Please note:
Emailing us that you wish to cancel your order does NOT guarantee its cancellation. Only once the order has been confirmed as cancelled by a member of our team is this the case.
Once an order is in the despatching process, we are then unable to cancel it. 
We do not take financial responsibility for the cost of the return of any products ordered in error or that are no longer wanted.
If a parcel is returned to us due to it being refused, a £10 fee will be deducted from your refund.

We work hard to ensure we are partnering with the best delivery companies. On occasions, Royal Mail and our couriers may have difficulties making a delivery due to address issues etc. If this is the case you will be contacted by the carrier advising how to arrange redelivery. If a delivery is unsuccessful the parcel will be returned to us & our team will then notify you. We will resend the parcel once a full redelivery fee has been made.

We cannot accept products of a certain nature back once they have been installed, such as shower pumps and toilet cisterns. Installation of these products activates the manufacturer’s warranty and hereby need to be dealt with according to their guide lines.
