The JPS store also carries silk, but this kimono is polyester.

Many silk kimonos have a wonderful feel, comfort, and appearance.

However, it is difficult to handle. Outside of Japan, there are few dry cleaners that specialize in kimono.

I usually wear polyester kimonos most of the time except for special ceremonies.:)

I can easily wear it on rainy days without worrying about it like silk!

Polyester kimonos can be washed in your home.

If your home washing machine has a "Delicates" feature, you can put them in a laundry net and wash them.

If not, we recommend washing by hand in the bathroom tub or in a large tub.

Do not use a dryer after washing a polyester kimono. We recommend that you hang it on a hanger to dry naturally. (19th photo)

Most polyester kimonos do not need to be ironed, but depending on the quality, wrinkles may form, so it is OK to iron. In that case, do not iron the kimono directly, but iron it by placing a towel or handkerchief on top of the kimono.

About The Color and Pattern

Main color is White.

Small Floral Pattern.

This type of kimono is called Komon, which is used for everyday wear, but in the photo of this product, I displayed it like a Princess's Uchikake from the Edo period. How do you like it? :)

This display is wearing JYUBAN (innerwear) but it is not included in the product.

Kimonos worn like the Japanese are lovely, but with your ideas you can wear them in all sorts of ways!

Wear it like a robe or gown, display it as an ornament in your home, or combine it with a skirt, I think it would be wonderful. Have fun using it. :)

Although polyester kimonos are not prone to fading, stains, or mildew, JPS often purchases used store stock. For this reason, even unused items may rarely have fading or stains. Please understand this.

This kimono has a decorative thread called "Shituke-Ito" sewn into the sleeves and hem.(12th photo)

In Japan, when this thread is sewn on a kimono, it means "New or Unused.”

If you have purchased a kimono and wish to remove this thread, please contact me. I will remove the thread before shipping.
