1551 1ed Denis the Carthusian BIBLE & Commentary New Testament Saint Paul FOLIO

The works of Denis the Carthusian were important contributions to Roman Catholic doctrine. He published some 900 sermons and began commenting on scripture in 1434, which became immensely popular after Pope Eugene IV promoted his works. In fact, he was so highly regarded, that he was considered an oracle and prophet by bishops and common men alike.

This folio collection of Denis’s Bible commentaries was published in Paris in 1551 by Robert Masselin and features his commentary on the Pauline epistles.
