***Good vintage condition- some may have imperfections that occurred during the manufacturing process.  There are no breaks or chips, but sometimes, during manufacturing, the clay will have a fold or crease in it, under the glaze. That usually happened on the edge of the base, in some of the very early Wade sets.

Red Rose Tea began to give away Wade miniatures in 1967.  At first, the promotion was very restricted, in terms of the geographic area, first given away in Quebec, Canada.  The results were so successful that the Wade figurines were gradually made available throughout Canada.  In 1983, the promotion began in the United States, ending in 2016.
