Antique Regency Style Marquetry Walnut Fold Over Games Card Table Side Table.

DESCRIPTION:

This is an exquisite reproduction card / games table which has been created in the style of a stunning antique Regency fold over car / games table. The top is exquisite being quarter veneered and marquetry with wonderful flower, foliage and scroll detailing, this superb Marquetry detailing continues around the deep frieze to the front back and sides so the table would look wonderful even if placed in the centre of a room.

When the top is turned this reveals a storage area beneath and then when the top is folded over the underside of the top becomes the area for games to be played on. This has been finished with a chequered board on which chess or draughts could be played which is a lovely feature.

The top is raised on an exquisite bulbous column which leads down to the base. Both the column and base have Marquetry detailing with beautiful flower, foliage and scroll detailing.

 

This table is not only practical but will add an air of elegance to your room.
