Deforest Of California Mustard Jar Hand Painted Signed Condiment Jar From the 1950s, Deforest made a variety of hand painted pottery pieces including anthropomorphic condiment jars, cookie jars, platters and more.

This mustard jar is part of what most people refer to as their pixie ware line and included several other food items such as a hamburger, clove of garlic and many others.

The spoon is missing and the lid is matte, not glazed. There is crazing throughout commensurate with age but he is a charming piece nonetheless and would darling in your retro inspired kitchen.
