Description
RCWL-0516 is a microwave sensor module that uses Doppler radar technology to detect movement of objects.
The module has the characteristics of high sensitivity, long sensing distance, strong reliability, large sensing angle and wide power supply voltage range. Widely used in a variety of human body induction lighting and anti-theft alarm and other occasions.

Pin Definition:
1) 3V3
3.3V output voltage, drive current 100mA.
2) GND

The CDS pin is connected to a photoresistor, and the module detection function can be turned off at night.
Application design should pay attention to:
1. There must be no metal shielding in front of the sensing surface.
2. A space of more than 1CM should be reserved at the front and rear of the sensing surface.
3. The module and the mounting carrier plane should be as parallel as possible.
4. The application is effective in a certain detection area.
5. The component side of the module is the positive sensing surface, and the reverse side is the negative sensing surface. The negative sensing surface is slightly less effective.
6. The microwave modules cannot be applied on a large scale in the same area, otherwise there will be mutual interference, and the distance between individual modules will be greater than 1M.
Adjustment Part Introduction:
1: C-TM
Adjust the repeated trigger time, the default trigger time is 2S. Increasing capacitance will increase repetition
Trigger time, the actual calculation of repeated trigger time can be done as follows:
Paste the capacitor at C-T1, test the frequency f of pin 3 of 9196, and repeat the trigger time T= (1/F) *32768
2: R-GN
The detection distance is adjusted, and the resistance is connected, and the detection distance becomes smaller. If it is not connected, the detection distance is about 7M. When connected with a 1M resistor, the detection distance is about 5M, and the customer can adjust it according to the actual situation.
3. R-CDS
The internal VCC is connected in parallel with the internal 1M resistor through R-CDS to the CDS pin (ie, the 9 pin of 9196), and the CDs is connected to a photoresistor, which can turn off the module detection function at night. The R-CDS value can be set according to the actual required ambient brightness.
