This is a Wonderful French Gilt Gold Bronze & Enamel Picture Frame, ca. 1890. This large sized oval frame with raised ornament, including foliage and ribbon shaped and floral crest on top is surrounded by blue enamel panels. The frame interior is lined with a red velvet cloth and the original beveled glass is in top condition. Marked to back bottom FRANCE within a flying banner. Very good condition with a few hairlines to enamel as pictured. Measures 36 cm high including ribbon by 26 cm wide. An absolute most for collectors!
