Leaf litter provides visual barriers and safe havens for the vivarium inhabitants such as dart frogs, millipedes, etc. As leaf litter decomposes it will add valuable nutrients to the substrate, as well as, sustaining large populations of microfauna. In turn microfauna will act as janitors or cleaners in a vivarium. Microfauna (isopods, springtails, etc.) also provide a good source of food for a lot of vivarium inhabitants. Red Oat leaves can be used for millipedes, isopods, dart frogs, small toads, reptiles and hermit crabs. Red Oak Tree Leaves
