This exceptional antique Norwegian silver gilt wax seal container / stamp has a cylindrical tapering form.
The surface of this exceptional antique silver wax seal stamp is embellished with exceptional pink guilloche enamel flanked with plain silver gilt borders.
The body of this exceptional example of antique silverware features the original push fit cover, ornamented with further pink guilloche enamel accented with a floral basket design.
The upper plateau of the cover incorporates the stylised initials "JP".
The push fit cover allows access to the wax chamber, which retains a portion of red sealing wax.
The underside of the body features the impression seal of the aforementioned initials.
ConditionThis antique silver wax seal stamp is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The enamel is in perfect condition.
The Norwegian hallmarks are very clear.
