Ricoh XR500(modified to XR1000)with XR RIKENON 50mmf2 #37296049

INTRODUCTION:
This Ricoh XR500 has been released in 1979. I think it has been sold overseas at the same time.
In that time, high end model of Ricoh was XR-1, so the concept of this camera was to sell in lower price, easy to buy.
The shutter unit is using same as XR-1, so that the ability of maximum speed is 1/1000, but it is detuned to 1/500.
For this camera, I adjusted a little to work the shutter speed up to 1/1000.
The lens come with is a XR RIKENON 1:2 50mm L is very good lens, made of TOMIOKA OPTICAL, and some say that it is like Leica Summicron. The condition is as shown in the picture attached. But it is working perfectly. Please check the attached video.

COSMETIC CONDITION:
Over all of this camera is cosmetically in excellent condition.
Please examine the listing photos and video carefully for the overall cosmetic condition of the item.

MECHANICAL:
This cameras shutter fires in each speeds. Exposure is working good ( need SR44 or LR44 X2). No oil on either aperture or shutter blade. Also, no leak of the light. Take a look of the video attached.

OPTICAL CONDITION:
Finder is very clear ( with little dust). Lens is XR RIKENON 1:2 50mm L (second generation...it has total up to 4th generation). Condition is very clear visually. No haze, no fog, no balsam separation, no fungus and no wipe, but has little dirt on the edge of the lens. After taking the by film, it seems no effect on the film.

IMPRESSION of USAGE
Method of usage is as like other 35mm SLR camera. In order to use the exposure, pull the winding lever till you see the red dot on the top of the camera to turn on the exposure.  Exposure will show in the right side of the finder (inside). Turn the shutter speed or aperture to set the right exposure. Wind the lever all the way and press shutter button like other SLR camera.
