Private Henry Hook of the 24th Regiment of Foot was assigned to help defend the Rorke's Drift hospital. When the Zulus began over-running the building, Hook and his comrades bravely protected the wounded and maneuvered them from room to room to prevent their annihilation. Though known as a malingerer, Hook acted with extreme bravery in the face of the enemy. And despite being threatened with being put on report for breaking into the liquor stores, Hook emerged with a wounded man in one hand and a rum bottle in the other! He was awarded the Victoria Cross. Set includes a drunken "Hooky" with rum bottle and a wounded soldier.
