Emanuel Thompson, more commonly known by his pseudonym Sonthomb, was a
member of the 16th-century society the Merchant Adventurers of
England who is known solely for his devotional “Golden Treasure of God’s Children”. This work was known, not for
its English edition, but for its Danish and German translations. In fact, this
particular work was known to have heavily influenced and inspired the founder
