EV-9D9, a female droid pronounced "Eve-Nine-Dee-Nine," is portrayed as a sadistic character in the dark recesses of Jabba's palace in "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi." As the overseer of other droids in Jabba the Hutt's domain, she relished torturing her fellow machines due to a prevalent programming defect in the 9D9 series. Jabba paired her with 8D8, a similarly ruthless 8D-series smelter droid repurposed for torture, which brought out the most sinister aspects of both droids.

This figure was part of the "Power of the Force" line released in 1984, often referred to as the "Last 17," which was the final series of Kenner Star Wars action figures before the line was discontinued. Due to her fragile design, EV-9D9 is considered one of the more challenging figures to find in good condition. Thankfully, you will not need to worry about that with this mint-on-card (MOC) 92-Back A. This little terror droid is still safely sealed inside her vintage pristine bubble, along with her collector's coin, one of 32 found on a card with a figure.

This cardback is bright and clear and near perfection. It's been punched and the price sticker was removed at some point, leaving a light trace of it on the black card, but the card looks very clean, both front and back. The bubble is also pristine, with only a small amount of yellowing, which is not uncommon for POTF bubbles.

This MOC has been recently graded by CAS and given an overall score of 80+. The sub-grades are 'Cardback' C 80, 'Bubble' B 85, and 'Figure' F 85 for a total score of 84.1, rounded down to 80+. It's a beautiful example of one of the "Last 17" figures that would be a great addition to any collection!
