ITEM: ANTIQUE Upper Hanley BLUE OLYMPIA FLOWER Rectangle Trinket, Butter, or Soap DISH.

DESCRIPTION: The back stamp on this antique dish indicates it was produced by Upper Hadley Porcelain Company in England between 1895 and 1900. It is white and features a blue floral pattern around the edges, a pattern called “Olympia.” It is a rectangular dish, and although we’re unsure or the intended use, it resembles a dish that could be used for butter, soap, or trinkets/jewelry.

CONDITION: This small butter dish is in very good antique condition. It has some scratches in the center of the dish likely caused by utensils. It has a few defects, likely where the price was propped up during the firing process, on the bottom which have turned to darkened spots over time. Otherwise, there is no notable damage, discoloration, and remarkably there is no visible crazing.
