Cut Coin State Quarter
Cut Coin State Quarter New Hampshire 2000 Old Man of Mountain Necklace Jewelry
The New Hampshire state quarter is a circulating commemorative coin
issued by the United States Mint in 2000 as part of the 50 State
Quarters Program. The design features the Old Man of the Mountain, a
rock formation located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire that
resembled the profile of a man's face. The image includes the state
motto, "Live Free or Die," and the inscription "Old Man of the
Mountain." The state's name, "New Hampshire," and the date of statehood,
"1788," are also included on the reverse of the coin.
The obverse of
the coin features the familiar image of George Washington, the first
President of the United States, along with the inscriptions "United
States of America," "Quarter Dollar," and "E Pluribus Unum."
The 50
State Quarters Program was a ten-year initiative by the U.S. Mint to
issue a quarter representing each of the 50 states in the order in which
they ratified the Constitution or were admitted to the Union.
