Perga, also called bee bread, is fermented bee pollen which the bees pack into the honeycombs and which retains its hexagonal honeycomb shape after it is taken out. With its pleasant mild, sweet-sour taste, perga is undeniably one of the tastiest bee products.

Ingredients of bee bread: organic bee pollen (74%), bees wax (24%) and honey (2%).

Serving suggestion:

Since bee bread undergoes lactic acid fermentation during the manufacturing process, it tastes particularly good with dairy products such as yoghurt or quark. Bee bread also impresses with its sweet taste in muesli. However, Perga can also be used excellently for baking desserts, such as topping a cake.

But Perga is also simply delicious on its own.
