Acetron POM-H Delrin 2”x6”x36” Rectangular Bar Natural made by Mitsubishi.

Acetron POM-H Delrin is a homopolymer acetal. It offers slightly higher mechanical properties than

Acetron® GP Acetal, but may contain a low-density center, especially in larger cross-sections. Copolymer acetal also offers better chemical resistance than homopolymer acetal.

Delrin is ideal for small diameter, thin-walled bushings that benefit from the additional strength and rigidity of homopolymer acetal.

Acetal is a high-strength, low friction plastic that offers a thinner, lighter, and more flexible design than leading market products. Designed to replace metals, acetal is easily manufactured for a variety of industrial and commercial applications.

With its combination of stiffness, strength, durability, and lubricity, acetal is one of the most widely used thermoplastics for manufacturing. Its excellent wear properties, low coefficient of friction, and low moisture absorption allow it to be used in many industrial applications, especially those in overly wet or dry environments.

Additionally, acetal is chemically resistant to solvents, and even offers good electrical properties. Acetal also has a continuous use temperature range of up to 180° F (82° C).

Acetal is available in homopolymer (POM-H) and copolymer (POM-C) options. Homopolymer acetal, commonly referred to by its brand name Delrin®, offers greater room temperature strength, stiffness, and toughness. Whereas copolymer acetal performs extremely well in continuous high heat and hot water environments.
