Hi! You're looking at an outstanding condition book which is RARE and hard to find and OUT OF PRINT and a classic Christian-based account of a Near Death Experience with the Afterlife written by REBECCA RUTER SPRINGER--the book is an unstated First Edition published in 1898 and a HARDCOVER with no dustjacket as issued.  This book is in outstanding condition and the book has a small tear on the lower right tip of the front cover, very light dings on the spine tips, a few very slight discolored spots on the left portion of the front cover and just very light shelfwear and slight evidence of gentle browsing but no other significant flaws--the book has a PERFECT binding and beautiful, unmarked pages!  The book is titled Intra Muros and it was written by REBECCA RUTER SPRINGER; it was published by David C. Cook Publishing Company (the publishing information is at the bottom edge of the book's first page) and is an unstated 1st Edition copy.

Subtitled My Dream of Heaven and At a time before popular discussion of and research into near death and after life experiences was in the popular consciousness, Rebecca Springer courageously and faithfully penned this account of her own passing "into the light

Arranged in chapters as a loose narrative, Intra Muros comprises a series of dreamlike episodes and reflections upon the essence of life, death and what comes next after we perish. Steeped in the Christian tradition, the author's narration discusses the spiritual planes that follow death, and her descriptions of heaven are evocative and reassuring.

The appearance of the heavenly realms, the blessings of the angelic spirits, and the journey the believer's souls render the author's words profound and evocative. The imagery is vast in scope, yet the emotional comfort she provides remains constant.  For Christians who are bereaved through the harrowing experience of loss this comfort is especially welcome.

Rebecca Ruter Springer was a poet and author who published fictional stories and verses. Much-liked and gentle of nature, she suffered from infirmity of health for decades, and her condition was often infirm. This fragility occasioned her to contemplate death and the path the soul takes after the body expires; these reflections resulted in
Intra Muros, which has been consulted by Christians ever since.

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this book!
