This is a large, classic style beer mug/stein.  This is made from ceramic and has a plain white design.  Per the marking on the bottom of the mug, this item was "designed expressly for the Spread Eagle Tavern by Don Schreckengost, Hall China Co., USA."  The Spread Eagle Tavern is a historic restaurant in small town Hanover, Ohio.  The restaurant was built in 1837 and remains open today, as a fine dining restaurant.   "In 1863, the Sandy Valley Order of Free and Accepted Masons was organized on the third floor. And, finally, there's the folklore of Abraham Lincoln's stagecoach stop, chronicled in the minds of Hanover's early residents."  (per spreadeagletavern.com)   "Don Schreckengost was an American industrial ceramic designer who was active from the 1930s through the 1990s.  He is considered to be the first American industrial ceramic designer." (per Wikipedia)  The mug appears to be in excellent vintage condition, with no apparent chips, cracks or defects.  Measures approx. 3.5" in diameter and 6" tall.
