Description

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has an octagonal panelled baluster shaped form onto an octagonal spreading domed foot.

The surface of the caster is plain and unembellished.

The rim of this impressive sugar caster is encompassed with an applied moulded border.

This sterling silver sugar caster retains the original, fine and impressive hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with impressive pierced scrolling decoration in addition to an applied moulded border to the rim.

The cover is surmounted by an impressive sterling silver tapering panelled finial, terminating with a ball motif.

The underside of this antique sugar caster bears the retailer"s mark "Goldsmiths Company, 112 Regent Street, W".

Condition

This silver sugar caster is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.

The caster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and rim of the cover are very clear in keeping with and location.
