Fair Condition.  I rate it that because the plate is intact and the design is strong.  Getting into actual details, however, there is a chip on the bottom rim edge directly underneath the Queen, shown in the fifth photo, which might be why she looks a little disapproving.  There is a crappy old repair at the upper right side rim that was glued and painted over.  You can really see this from the back side, which is what you see in the last photo.  The floral design shows loss in various places.  The Queen has some scratches, tiny but visible upon inspection.  The Queen has seen some things over the years.

This plate was made during the reign of King Louis Philippe in 1846, according to the marks on the back.  The intertwined L's in the circle is his official porcelain mark, with the numbers 1846.  The red Chateau Des Tuileries mark is the mid-19th century Sevres palace mark.  The "S.46." mark indicates 1846, which is within the King's reign from 1830 to 1848.  The back has the handpainted "Marie Leczinska" that is the French Queen pictured on the front.  There is also a hand-painted red "37" but I don't know its meaning.  So this plate is apparently 177 years old!  I can't wrap my head around that!  Marie Leczinska was the Polish Queen of French King Louis XV and she died in 1768, about 78 years before this plate was made.

The plate measures 9 3/8 inches or 23.8125 cm in diameter.

This plate is rough but please examine the pictures closely.  After all, it is a very old plate but I think that is what makes it really cool too!

We do combine shipping for multiple orders!  Please let us know if you are selecting multiple listings!

We don't do partial refunds.  If the item is not 100% satisfactory to you, return it for a refund.  Partial refunds are a common scamming technique on eBay so sellers are advised not to give them.  We also do videos documenting our packaging the items as that provides the post office proof we shipped the items.  They require proof for mail fraud when people switch out the item and send back something else, stuff like that.  We also don't do second chance offers so if you get one on one of our items, it is not from us!  We don't want anyone to get scammed!
