Underworld, or Monde infernal au Québec, is a British-German-Hungarian-American fantasy film directed by Len Wiseman, released in 2003.

Summary
For centuries, two immortal and legendary races, the lycans (better known as werewolves), and the vampires, have been engaged in a merciless conflict, unbeknownst to humans. In this ancestral conflict that continues today, Selene, a ruthless vampire warrior belonging to the Death Dealers in charge of eradicating the lycans, seeks to avenge her family, exterminated by her adversaries. During a shootout in the subway, Selene manages to prevent a human being from being kidnapped by the lycans. Back at the Vampires' lair, a castle, she discovers that the colony of werewolves living in the City's underworld were taking a close interest in a human named Michael Corvin, a medical intern and seeking to understand the reasons that lead his enemies to take an interest in this man. Selene recounts the events to her fellow vampires, but Kraven, leader of the vampires, does not support her and orders her to let it go. Not letting go, she goes to Michael's apartment and finds Lucian, leader of the lycans supposedly dead after being defeated by Kraven, who ends up biting Michael, before Selene manages to escape with Michael in order to take him to his lair...
