Elliot, Texas ... Elliott is a small unincorporated community in Robertson County, Texas,
at the junction of U.S. Highway 79 and Farm Road 2549, approximately 5 miles southwest of Franklin.
Elliott was established in 1871 as a station on the International–Great Northern Railroad, and named after the
landowner, who donated his property for the townsite.
The town's population has fluctuated between 20 and 50.
From 1895–1916 Elliott had its own post office.
In 1902 a gazeteer described Elliott as a post-village. [Wikipedia]
Located: Northwest of Wichita Falls, Dallas / / Southwest of Oklahoma City, very near the TX / OK border.
"D.P.O. (4)" ... in pencil on back. I do not know if that is the correct Rarity ... or not?
Standard Size - Approx. 3.5 x 5.5 inches - Condition... shows age with flaws. Please study the scans.
