Up for auction is an inspiring straight razor from the world famous Gebr. Weyersberg Co. in Solingen est. originally 1712.

Their Trumpet /Corneta and the "6000" logos are world famous.

The Weyersberg's were a large cutlery and industrial dynasty of Solingen with roots of hundreds of years. They were also involved in the production of bicycles and their parts in pre WW2. Besides straight razors they were famous for their fine swords, daggers, hunting knives exporting these wonderful implements worldwide incl. South America etc. 

The razor you see is a fine and gorgeous specimen of the WEYERSBERG/CORNETA range with its 7/8" full hollow ground blade and black shiny scales.

Its decorated with a beautiful gilded etching with "Solinger Werttarbeit".

Forged of high grade carbon steel out of the 1950ies. The razor is in unused condition. 

Stored with care & slightly oiled prior to shipping. 

Comes with wrapping paper and its coffin box. The latter is noit original but serves for a safe and stylish storage. The paer is unfornatly torn, bt still legible. As the blade is of Carbon steel, please always dry well after use and let dry, and oil slightly.
