Description:
Best of Supertramp Guitar Recorded Versions’ comprises of note-for-note guitar transcriptions of ten of the English progressive rock band’s classics and covers the period 1974-1979 starting with their counter-cultural third studio album ‘Crime of the Century’ (1974) then moving to on their fourth and fifth albums ‘Crisis What Crisis?’ (1975), ‘Even in the Quietest Moments’ (1977) before reaching the high point of Supertramp's biggest-selling album, ‘Breakfast In America’ (1979).

Three songs are selected from ‘Crime of the Century’ (1974): ‘Bloody Well Right’, ‘Dreamer’, and the counter-cultural ‘School’,

One from ‘Crisis What Crisis?’ (1975): ‘Sister Moonshine’, two from Even in the Quietest Moments’ (1977), the title track and ‘Give A Little Bit’. Unsurprisingly the remaining four are from ‘Breakfast In America’ (1979): the title track, ‘Goodbye Stranger’, ‘The Logical Song’ and ‘Take The Long Way Home’.

There is a ‘Guitar Notation Legend’ at the back of the book (see photo 11).

The transcriber is:
Aurelien Budynek, a professional guitarist who has toured with Marky Ramone, Cindy Blackman-Santana and DareDevil Squadron
