Description:
A GUD1N is a DVD Writer capable of reading & writing on several types of DVD and CD formats. It is compatible with multiple HP ProBook models as well as several other types of laptops and desktops (A Slimline SATA adapter might be needed in desktops, but it should fit within most laptops).
It has been cleaned and tested for functionality.
There is 1 variant available (the connector and bezel are from early HP ProBook models):

Tips:
- If you cannot get it to open, insert the end of a paper clip into the small hole (in the GUD1N with a bezel), or press the small button located towards the bottom left of the front of the drive (in the GUD1N without a bezel) to allow you to pull the DVD/CD tray out. Do NOT try to force it open if the tray does NOT pop open slightly after pressing the button. That means the tray is still locked and the button was not pushed enough OR that the correct button wasn't pushed.
- If you choose to get a GUD1N that has a bezel and you want to remove the bezel, you will need to release the latches attaching it to the DVD/CD tray, but you need to be very careful in doing so.
- If you choose to get a GUD1N that has a connector and want to remove it, you can unscrew the connector with a screwdriver.
- Make sure that GUD1N (or any internal DVD/CD writer) is properly installed/connected when you are replacing it or if it is not working
- Without ANY connector (regardless if the connector is from me or from you) holding the GUD1N in place, the entire GUD1N might detach from the Slimline SATA port and possibly slide out of your laptop. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GET A GUD1N WITHOUT A CONNECTOR, MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CONNECTOR FOR IT
- Optional: If you ALREADY have a GUD1N and want to replace it, try removing the connector and bezel on it. Then get the GUD1N without a connector if you want to reduce waste. If you think your old GUD1N has the same bezel as this one, you can try getting the GUD1N without a bezel. Make SURE TO BE VERY CAREFUL REMOVING AND ATTACHING THE BEZEL (IF YOU CAN/WANT) AND CONNECTOR!
- Optional: If you ALREADY have a GUD1N and want to replace it, try removing the connector and bezel on it. If you want to make the GUD1N from me match the appearance of your laptop better, use old bezel and you can try to CAREFULLY attach it to the GUD1N from me. THERE IS NO GUARANTY WILL FIT, SO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TRYING TO ATTACH IT AND DO NOT TRY TO FORCE IT TO FIT!
