Mail from the Levant to Greece via French Paquebot 1867:

Entire letter with full contents from French P. O. in Constantinople sent unpaid to Athens, struck with 'Constantinople / Turquie' cds on despatch (March 13), with manuscript '50' lepta charge in red crayon (30 lepta ship fee plus 20 lepta internal charge) and franked on arrival with 1862/67 10 lepta + 40 lepta Large Hermes Heads, tied by 'Athens' cds (March 3, julian calendar) with repeated strike on reverse. Both stamps are superb, and the entire letter is itself very fresh and fine.

Outstanding quality, see scans. Signed Holcombe.
