This is a very interesting Ladies 9ct gold and Citrine Bar brooch, very well made and a great original patina.

The back has a makers assay mark that I think is for Arthur Johnson Smith (AJS) who worked out of Frederick street in Birmingham towards the end of the 19th century and into the early years of the 20th century.

Just a super quality brooch that is very well made, all hand finished, needs a gentle clean but I like the patina personally so we have not cleaned.

A couple of the pearls are misshaped and one looks to be chipped but they are not really noticeable when its being worn, easy to fix but its exactly as we bought the item from an old estate near Edinburgh, Scotland

We have just found some further items from the estate, contents of an old box and many of the original cases for the jewelry items where in the box, so we have just added the images with the pin reunited to the box, box is now included.

Size: approx 2.4 cm wide & 3.2 cm long.

Please look at the images closely as they represent an important part of the description, thanks.

Any questions please ask.
