VG:  Very Good.  Record will have some light scuffing, marks or scratches.  Record still maintain solid gloss and decent shine.  Background noise will be fairly minimal.  Good, decent playable record but not perfect.   

VG+:  Very Good Plus.  Record will have a few very light marks or scratches.  Overall, super clean glossy record.  Zero background noise

Ex:  Excellent.  Record is flawless or nearly so.  Fantastic clean, shiny record.  Zero background noise. 

JACKET:

G:  Good.  Jacket will have significant edge and ring wear.  Jacket might have splits.  

G+:  Good Plus.  Jacket might have moderate ring and edge wear.  Jacket might have small splits 

VG:  Very Good.  Artwork will maintains solid lustre and "newness."  There might be small abrasions and light ring and edge wear.

VG+:  Very Good Plus.  Artwork will look very new.  Only minimal wear or abrasions.

Ex:  Excellent.  Jacket is flawless or nearly so.
