ConditionThese antique 18th century tea/sugar caddies are a magnificent gauge of silver, magnificent quality and in magnificent condition.
The cast, embossed and chased decoration is very sharp and the engraved ornamentation is very crisp; the definition of these details indicates these caddies have seen little or no use.
The original casket is distressed in keeping with age, however, remains in working condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the caddies are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the magnificent gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these 18th century tea caddies.
