As with all things antique and vintage, our items may show signs of wear and tear consistent with age, but (we feel) these just add to their charm.
At Faded Angel we are all about items that are 'faded, weathered and worn', and appreciate that this isn't to everyone's taste, we therefore ask that you scrutinise the photo's to ensure that you are happy with what you are buying.
We will always do our best to point out any damage or wear and tear however sometimes things may get overlooked, as we often like to keep pieces in their natural state, as we find them. We feel that some dents, knocks and wear just adds to the history and charm of a piece.
Many wooden antique pieces show signs of woodworm. This isn’t something to be scared of, or put you off buying an antique piece. Where an item shows signs of worm (small holes) we will always point it out, and ensure it is treated.
We try to describe our items as accurately as possible and post clear photos taken from several angles. Please feel free to ask any questions, or request any additional measurements or photographs.

Sandblasted furniture:
Sandblasting furniture takes the wood back to it’s natural grain and colour, it also brings out the texture of the wood. After sandblasting we finish our pieces with a clear wax. A sandblasted article is therefore NOT varnished and is NOT waterproof. It will require some extra TLC. Please ensure any liquid spills are dried immediately. If the wood becomes marked or discoloured, gently sand once dry and wax the article with clear wax. There are many waxes out there. Some of the brands we use are; Briwax, Liberon and Fiddes.
Postage / Delivery / Collection:
Collection would be preferred however we can arrange, via a trusted courier, to deliver your item in mainland UK (England, Wales and the Scottish borders). Please get in touch if you would like some assistance with a quote.
Our items are listed as 'local collection only'. If a buyer prefers to arrange their own courier the item will be collected and delivered at the buyer's risk. We will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to the item once it has left our premises. We will not be held responsible for paying for any returned items, damaged or otherwise, if an independent courier is used.
We will obviously be more than happy to accept a return if a customer is not happy with their item and have collected it themselves or used our trusted courier.
A 'guide' to delivery prices below (the prices indicated are the minimum quoted for each item category):
£50: Smaller items such as bedside tables
£65: Medium items such as flat pack bed frames, small chest's of drawers
£70: Larger items such as wardrobes/sideboards/cabinets/tables and chairs/dressing tables
When purchasing multiple items, the delivery fee is £20 for each additional item.
For Scotland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, or any other areas, please do get in touch for a quote as the delivery rates will vary for these areas.

Please note that items are usually delivered within 1-3 weeks, but occasionally may take longer. If you require your item more urgently, please get in touch prior to purchase so that we can see what we can arrange.
Items such as wardrobes and beds are usually delivered dismantled. They are easy to assemble, but an assembly charge can be arranged direct with the courier.
