Ewald Nielsen (life: 1879 - 1958) - an outstanding Danish jeweler, member of the Copenhagen Jewelers Guild, from 1920 to 1948. First Chairman of the Union of Danish Jewelers (Dansk Guldsmedemesterforening), Honorary Master Jeweler of Denmark. Working exclusively in the art nouveau style, the artist independently developed designs for his magnificent products and produced them in small batches, which is why they have always been in demand by contemporaries and are highly valued by collectors of our days.

Ewald Nielsen (years of life: 1879 - 1958). He was at the head of the Guild of Danish Jewelers.
In 1893, he began working for the Fleron jewelry company, first as a press operator, then as an engraver. In 1905 he opened his own workshop (in 1914, 14 people worked in his workshop). By 1926, the master becomes so wealthy and in demand that he buys a building on the main street of Copenhagen and joins the elite. He is helped in his work by his son Aage Weimar, by this time already a well-known designer, who then continues his father's work under his own name.

Fame came to Ewald Nielsen precisely in the 1920s, when he, competing with George Jensen, refuses the services of eminent designers and only develops his own style together with his son, the basis of which is at that time the highly popular Art Nouveau style ( products of E. Nielsen are original, high-volume, as if filled with air). By this time, the products of his workshop are becoming incredibly popular in Germany, and then in the United States. Along with the steady growth of confidence in the master, production volumes also increased. Today, his products are very popular among art nouveau collectors and connoisseurs in many countries of the world.
