Disney [1st Edition] VHS "The Lion King" -Black Diamond Series- disney's 'Black Diamond' series VHS is actually called Disney's Classics, i believe. All of their movies were released for home viewing on this line. So, even the old ones like Peter Pan from 1950 would be a 1st Edition release. But for the movies that were new during this period, it was now a major release to casette and video stores. These VHS are the one's in the white clamshell boxes. Any confusion is probably due to the fact that Disney is notorious for not putting any dates on their products, I suppose a gimmick to insinuate that it is a 1st edition and that the year should be obvious to a true fan...???
