Description
These exceptional antique Edwardian English sterling silver spoons have a plain rounded bowl.
The surface of each bowl is plain and unembellished, apart from the full hallmarks to the reverse.
The shaped stem of each spoon is enveloped with leaf decoration and terminates with a shield shaped terminal, each ornamented with an exceptional enamel panel pertaining to sporting events, including: billiards, football/soccer, golf, cricket, bowls* and field-shooting.
The interior of the rounded bowls and spoon terminals retain the original gilding.
The reverse surface of each stem bears the registration number "RD NO 428151".
These antique enamel and silver spoons are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
* This sport could be crown green bowls, flat green bowls or a variation of boules.
ConditionThese antique enamel and silver spoons are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The enamel panels are in perfect condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each bowl are clear in keeping with age and location.
