Impressionnant groupe orientaliste (circa1900) en terre cuite émaillée polychrome représentant un superbe couple de musiciens vêtus de somptueux vêtements, issu de la manufacture allemande "Koenig & Lengsfeld" de Cologne ou "Koeln" dont le travail est à rapprocher de l'autre grande manufacture de l'époque à savoir, Goldscheider.

Riches détails et belles couleurs chaudes rehaussés de touches d'or (instrument de musique, turban, ceinture et collier de la femme...) et réalisme extrême des expressions fière et sévère pour l'homme et celle, tendre et admirative de la femme dont les yeux sont sertis de petits cabochons de type "brillant".

Excellent et surprenant bel état pour cet objet si ce n'est les quelques traces éparses de restaurations anciennes (voir photos).

Signature (illisible) sur la terrasse et cachet d'édition "Koeln" à l'arrière.

Impressive orientalist group (circa 1900) in polychrome enamelled terracotta representing a superb couple of musicians dressed in sumptuous clothes, from the German factory "Koenig & Lengsfeld" in Cologne or "Koeln" whose work can be compared to the other large factory of the time namely, Goldscheider.

Rich details and beautiful warm colors enhanced with touches of gold (musical instrument, turban, belt and necklace of the woman...) and extreme realism of the proud and severe expressions for the man and the tender and admiring expression of the woman whose eyes are set with small “brilliant” type cabochons.

Excellent and surprisingly good condition for this object except for the few scattered traces of old restorations (see photos).
