Vintage French Empire Styled Brass Incense Holder Censer Burner Urn with Goat Head Motif, c.1940.

It is about 11.75" tall, and weights 2 pounds and 7.4 ounces.

The solid brass is nicely aged throughout, the piece is finished in a faded dark lacquer. 

The egg shaped hull of the piece is surrounded by three heavily detailed goat heads, which leads down to a hoofed base. The removable lid is perforated for incense smoke to protrude from the top. The underside of this piece is unsigned or marked. 

I'm not an expert, but according to some research done it seems that this piece is from the early to middle 1900's.
