Angeboten wird ein unbenutztes, wunderschönes Solinger Rasiermesser der Marke RED POINT von Anton Wingen. Gegr. in Solingen ca 1889. Weitere weltberühmte Marke war Othello die weitgehend für Taschenmesser, Jagdmesser, Dolche usw. benutzt wurde. Dieses Rasiermesser mit der Prägung Hoffritz wurde für ein ehemaligen Importeur in USA produziert der Friseur- und Barbierbedarf vertrieb.
Das top geschliffene Messer ist 5/8" breit und hat einen amerikanischen Kopf bzw. Spitzkopf und ist nur für fortgeschrittene Rasierer gedacht; sehr scharf somit rasurbereit.
Es ist eine Augenweide und Zeuge höchster Solinger Schleif- und Handwerkskunst.
Klinge ist aus Karbonstahl (nicht rostfrei), wunderbar 1/1 hohl, singend! und in exzellenten Zustand. Lediglich wie erwähnt sind auf der Neusilber-Backe 2 kleine Dellen die bei dieser Schönheit eh nicht ins Auge fallen, sei es durch Licht Reflektion oder wegen der Unauffälligkeit.
Alles eingebettet in glänzenden schwarzen Schalen wie Klavierlack mit tollen Neusilberbacken die ihresgleichen suchen und farbiger Red Point Einlage.
Gewicht ca. 39 g.
Die Länge der Schneide beträgt ca. 75mm (mit Doppelansatz gemessen). Klinge schliesst mittig und stramm.

Please consider an original and impressive very gorgeous spike point straight razor of the RED POINT brand made once by the renowned house of Anton Wingen est. 1889 at Solingen >>Germany. Another famous brand of Wingen was "Othello" used mainly for pocket- and hunting knives, daggers and shears as well.
You are seeing here a fantastic ground full hollow 1/1 blade with spike head in 5/8" weighing 39 g. It'll give you a superb shaving pleasure and experience. This one was made for Hoffritz a US importer for barbers and hairdresser implements, probably he was based in New York.
Provided with wonderful fancy bolsters in German silver and shiny scales like piano lacquer, and last but least the eye catching "Red Point" inlay.
Unused, great state, just as mentioned two little dings on one bolster.
Blade closes in perfect manner firm and centered.
All in all, an outstanding & exclusive shaver with an excellent ground blade like used from the house of Othello/Anton Wingen, singing and ultra sharp, so it will be shave ready for you.
Forged and Made of finest Carbon steel (not Stainless-Steel). so always dry carefully and let dry after use to avoid pitting when storing after use.
Comes as shown without box, but I shall include for safe storage according to my taste a used or generic Solingen plastic box.
