Premium class external filter, designed to increase efficiency, quieten work, reduce power consumption and improved by using more modern durable materials.

The filter has all the amenities of the 3 series, such as smooth flow regulation, very quiet operation, large capacity of filter cartridges and filter, automatic water suction, or an integrated pre-filter.

A novelty is the use of the Xtender function, which counteracts slowing down the flow due to clogging of the fine-pore filtering material - non-woven fabric. This is a very useful function when we cannot clean the filter temporarily, and we need to improve the water circulation in the tank (e.g. so that oxygenation or water treatment in chemical and biological terms does not decrease).

All EHEIM PROFESSIONEL 4+ models have an integrated sponge pre-filter that catches the largest particles of dirt, while protecting biological cartridges from clogging.

EHEIM SUBSTRAT Pro - biological contribution to the aquarium. The porous surface and its maximum use, thanks to the spherical shape, provide good conditions for bacteria to settle on the cartridge. The filtration surface is 450m²/l.
EHEIM BioMECH - a biological and mechanical contribution to the aquarium. The porous surface and special dirt-trapping pockets ensure optimal mechanical and biological filtration. The filtration surface is 600m²/l.
EHEIM MECH pro - mechanical contribution to the aquarium. Directly after the filter inlet, the water is swirled and evenly distributed thanks to the cylindrical shape of the EHEIM MECHpro. As a result, thicker and heavier dirt particles fall to the bottom of the bucket filter. The cartridge additionally provides a habitat for nitrifying bacteria, which increases the biological filtration surface.
