Installation:

Always replace both lift brackets to ensure optimum performance and prevent twisting due to uneven loading.

1. Switch off the ignition. If the old lift bracket had a window defogger electrical connection, carefully disconnect the connector.

2. Before removing the old lift bracket, check all supplied accessories to determine which components must be reused.

3. Have someone open the hatch, hood, trunk or rear window when replacing the lift bracket.

4. Loosen the fasteners, remove one end, while preparing to fight the pressure in the strut, move the end away from the body, remove the other end, install the new end, twist the other end into place, and tighten to reinforce.

5. Make sure that all connectors and hardware are in place, tight and secure. Reconnect the electrical terminals on both ends of the gas lift stand (if applicable to your car). Keep the plastic end caps (if applicable to your car).
