This large silver caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with impressive finely pierced scrolling leaf designs and is surmounted by an impressive cast sterling silver baluster-shaped finial.
This exceptional example of Georgian silverware, crafted by the renowned caster maker Samuel Wood, is a large example for its type.
ConditionThis antique Georgian sterling silver sugar caster is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver.
